Life Groups Life Groups at FBCG are a great way to build friendships and dig deep into the Bible. Please pay careful attention to the times and locations of each group. 	Life Application Group Wednesdays 6-8pm Meets in the Church Library Led by Jon Mindte September 7 - Mid-April Have you ever opened the Bible and asked the following: What does this passage really mean? How does it apply to my life? Why does some of the Bible seem irrelevant? What do these ancient cultures have to do with today? I love God: why can't I understand what He is saying to me through His Word? What's going on in the lives of the people in the Bible? If so, the Life Application Group is for you. This group will work through a study of Matthew. According to its prologue (1:1-7), Proverbs was written to give "prudence to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the young (1:4) and to make the wise even wiser." Join this group for prayer, fellowship and the study of God's Word. It will transport you to the lands of the Old and New Testaments where you'll explore the backdrop for Scriptural events. Teacher and historian Raynard VanderLaan reveals the Bible's intriguing historical context and its significance to modern believers illustrating "faith lessons" that will strengthen your faith and inspire you to confront your world based on the Truth. Come and learn how God's grace is greater than any thing we face in life. You will look at the need of renewing the mind, the work of the Holy Spirit and God's purpose. Expect to be united in the Body of Christ for the purpose of glorifying God as we focus on transformation and how we fit into God's plan.
